Imagine 3 mobile network providers. Company A, B, C are serving a given market. They are in a direct competition. Each company is playing the game to win more points (money).

Each company has an internal research and development laboratory where geniuses try to come up with better solutions to their customers’ problems. The laboratory in Company A comes up with an ingenious solution for faster and better internet connection. It starts testing it and soon it obtains a legal permit from the government to roll up the new antennas in a given region. The connection is great, customers are super happy, the initial experiment turned out to be a great success and they extend the offering to other towns and areas. They begin to attract more and more customers and to slowly take over the market.

The competition does not watch peacefully. It quickly finds out about the new service with outstanding qualities and incorporates it into the company offering as well. So as a consequence the three companies are in a race to provide the best possible service with the sole purpose to gain more customers on their side and to generate the most return on their investments a.k.a. PROFITS.

You believe that they are going in the forest and planting antennas so that you can walk in the woods and have fun just for your own benefit? Dead wrong. They get their own piece of the pie, the pie that your fee will pile up. Everyone is taking part in the whole scheme for his own highest good. We all benefit from this system and it is incredibly efficient and productive. Until we realise something deeper and more important.

The new invention that company A first introduced to market was not thoroughly tested on humans and it was deployed almost in an instant duet ot the great results it delivered. It was rolled out with the quick permission of the government as it has always been happening in history. This new technology was not thoroughly tested and examined and who would want to do so if it promised huge profits. Everyone’s interest was to turn a blind eye and to go on with the bright invention.

As some time passes, sometimes months other times it might be years, we figure out that there is an epidemic of health issues that came seemingly out of nowhere. It is mysterious because we can’t quickly assign it a cause. Nobody can relate the problem with the fact that the person who is having a given problem has been using extensively a service which was extremely dangerous for years without the slightest idea that it might turn out to be this harmful.

Just like the story from 1970s about a newly released drug that diminished the pains of pregnant women. It was a miracle drug, a drug that solved a huge problem that women faced. Unfortunately after some years it was found out that the ‘magical’ pill turned out to be a terrible surprise. Babies came out of their mother’s wombs with physical deformations.

The business was quick to offer a product to the market in search for huge profits without thoroughly testing the solution.
The government was quick to grant a permit because it would generate more employment, more taxes, booming economy and so on.
The customers were eager to quickly take it with the shiny promises to reduce their pains.

The future generations were the ones who had to pay the price in full. There is nothing that remains unpaid. We may evade the pain but the future generations will bear the full price with an interest if we do not act wisely and as we are supposed to. We are silly. We need to work to become less and less silly. Stop with the self proclaimed brilliance that we believe we have. We are destroying the health of our future generations with one easy choice at a time. We are idiots. We need an awakening. Our kids need it. They would suffer otherwise. Just like the deformed kids who would have to pay the price of their parent’s silly choices, our kids may suffer similar consequences with our use of harmful and toxic products and services.

There is a constant race in all industries which come at the cost of the consumer, the future generations and nature. The race would never stop, it is the quest to survive. No business will remain inactive while being overtaken. Unfortunately they go into dangerous territories and endanger us and our loved ones. We expect the government to take full care of it but it has no incentive. Governments benefit from people who have problems because they are cash cows for the whole industry. Open your eyes and mind and stop believing the shit you have been believing. It might be harsh, it might be brutal, it is true.
